The dominant thread is open, queryable resources that organize enzyme function and metal-binding information for screening and retrieval. EzHit performs bidirectional enzyme-reaction retrieval against RHEA across roughly 30 million metagenomic enzymes, with Mahalanobis confidence estimates. N-Zinclopedia applies ZincSight to more than a million proteins to predict transition metal-binding sites and candidate metalloenzymes. PAZy supplies the experimentally grounded counterpart, curating over 450 validated plastic-active enzymes with LLM-assisted activity curation and a public REST API. What is new is the pairing of predictive or screening layers with explicit curation and open access, with evidence ranging from experimental (PAZy) to predicted (EzHit, N-Zinclopedia). The items do not share a single target domain; they span reaction retrieval, metal sites, and plastic degradation.
