Transcriptomic atlases resolve cell states and viral associations across vertebrate…
The dominant thread is transcriptomic data reorganized into reusable reference frameworks. RNAquarium profiles host transcriptomes and non-host metatranscriptomes across all public zebrafish SRA RNA-seq data, linking viral associations to transcriptomic states. The Human Pancreas Cell Atlas integrates 815,126 single-cell or single-nucleus transcriptomes from 109 donors across 12 studies, defining 94 healthy cell types as a benchmark for disease contextualization. The canine gastric cancer atlas combines multi-modal and spatial profiling to map cellular organization, and the cavefish brain atlas identifies 35 cell types and cave-associated regulatory shifts across them. What is new is integration at archive or multi-study scale, with the reference itself serving as the deliverable.
