Conic and enzyme-constrained optimisation frameworks for bacterial kinetics and growth

The shared thread is quantitative modelling of microbial metabolism under explicit constraints, where kinetic rate laws, steady-state flux and proteome capacity are used to test what limits growth. Variational kinetics recasts genome-scale steady-state elementary reaction kinetics as conic optimisation and links metabolic flux models to kinetic descriptions. Covariant Biochemical Systems Theory descriptors (cBST1 to cBST3) are validated against yeast glycolysis rate laws from BIOMD0000000064. The enzyme-constrained GECKO model of Synechocystis PCC 6803 reports a proteome-limited growth decline across three light intensities. What is new is the joint treatment of kinetic feasibility and proteome-constrained optimality within computational frameworks. Not all three items address growth directly: the Biochemical Systems Theory item is a descriptor and validation study on glycolysis rather than a growth study.
