Metabolic models gain thermodynamic, kinetic, and community-scale constraints
The items share a common aim of extending stoichiometric and kinetic metabolic models with additional constraints or scales. GlycoMAC couples single-cell metabolic and glycosylation kinetics with a stochastic population model to predict CHO antibody glycosylation across culture conditions. METEOR-K links steady-state fluxes to metabolite concentrations through turnover-rate constraints and turnover-aware sampling. Thermo-Flux converts stoichiometric models into thermodynamic-stoichiometric models via automated mass and charge balancing. Published work on minimal pathway enumeration and sampling addresses genome-scale models of organisms and communities, while dCGF maps species genetic feature profiles to synthetic microbial community functions. Together these works move metabolic modeling toward physiologically consistent, multiscale prediction.
