The common thread is mechanistic, multiscale computational modeling in which tissue-level behavior emerges from coupled cellular processes. A logic-based ODE model of dermal fibroblast mechanotransduction, with 151 reactions across 96 nodes, is coupled to tissue growth in a porcine skin tissue-expansion context. An agent-based model of sterile inflammation links immune recruitment, polarization, signal diffusion, and tissue turnover spatially and identifies multiple paths to inflammation resolution. A closed-loop system couples living optogenetic cardiac monolayers bidirectionally with GPU-accelerated real-time cellular automata simulations to manipulate reentrant dynamics. What is new is the explicit coupling of models to tissue or living-system context and the treatment of alternative trajectories as outputs. The items are heterogeneous, so this thread is dominant rather than shared uniformly. These remain model-generated hypotheses and simulations rather than established mechanisms.
