Tunable dosing, vector, noise, and supply inputs set population persistence outcomes
The dominant thread is mechanistic population modeling in which explicit, controllable inputs determine whether a population persists, is cleared, or is invaded. An ODE framework links plasmid-mediated resistance to treatment success and reports that twice-daily dosing outperforms once-daily dosing for infection clearance. A predator-prey formulation examines how vector traits shape dengue persistence. A combined cubic Allee, stochastic Fokker-Planck, and replicator analysis of Porphyromonas gingivalis identifies quorum thresholds and noise-driven persistence. A consumer-resource model with invasion simulations shows colonization resistance falls with resource supply and diversity, with a non-monotonic component. What is new is treating dosing schedules, vector traits, stochastic noise, and resource supply as tunable determinants of outcome rather than fixed background parameters.
