Web tools predict siRNA toxicity and catalog peptide-mediated siRNA delivery data

2 preprints · 1 published

The dominant thread is publicly accessible computational resources for siRNA-based therapeutics. TOXsiRNA is a web server that predicts toxicity of chemically modified siRNAs using SVM, logistic regression, KNN and ANN models, with the best SVM model reaching PCC 0.92 on an independent evaluation. PEPsRNA is a web database of 2266 experimentally tested peptide-siRNA delivery entries, covering 270 peptides and 106 siRNAs/shRNAs and conjugates. FragmentFinder, a Windows-executable tool, is distinct in scope: it identifies and characterizes short RNA fragments excised from any sncRNA across species. What is new is the pairing of experimentally derived records or measurements with predictive or analytical tools that are directly usable by researchers.
