Physics-constrained reductions of relapse, metastasis, and complement opsonization
The common thread is constraining reduced descriptions with the governing structure of an explicit physical or dynamical model rather than fitting observations alone. A stochastic PK-PD field theory is fit to 1461 patient lesion records to predict noise-driven tumor relapse after high-dose chemotherapy. A Markovian transfer-operator model of metastatic dissemination is analyzed spectrally and matches the clinical organ-involvement hierarchy. A percolation-inspired analysis identifies complement opsonization on nanoparticles as a critical transition with universal scaling, limited by surface diffusion. The formalisms differ, but each derives tractable low-dimensional behavior from an explicit model. What is new is the application of field-theoretic, operator-spectral, and critical-scaling frameworks as physics-constrained reductions directly to clinical and biochemical data. All three items are early-stage preprints, so the evidence base remains limited.
