3D genome of Gigaspora margarita shows stable compartments and nucleolar organization
The dominant thread is genome architecture analyzed at scale, though the items differ in organism and level of analysis. The Gigaspora margarita study reports a chromosome-scale 3D genome with stable A/B compartments and clustered rDNA, and examines symbiont-dependent genome dynamics involving its endobacterium. FuNGI provides a resource of predicted nucleolar localization signals and NoLS-containing proteins across 769 fungal proteomes from eight phyla, enabling proteome-wide comparison. The spinach downy mildew pangenome graph of 19 P. effusa isolates addresses intraspecific variation directly, linking sexual recombination and loss of heterozygosity to resistance breaking. The Desert Plant Endophyte Genome Database, a bacterial resource of 534 genomes, is included as a related genomic inventory rather than a fungal study. The new contribution is the pairing of chromatin-level organization with population-level variation in fungal systems.
