Immune atlases map inflammatory and cytotoxic cell states across disease and aging
Most items pair large human immune datasets with explicit contextual mapping. A single-cell atlas of 6.5 million PBMCs from 1,047 patients across 19 diseases couples an interpretable model of circulating immune cell inflammation to its disease landscape. GIDISdb integrates 3,949 whole-blood RNA-seq samples across 15 infections with immune-centric annotations and analysis tools. A consensus map of seven human HSC single-cell datasets identifies an inflammatory quiescent subpopulation that expands with age. Two preprints extend this logic in different directions: an outlier-aware scRNA-seq framework flags statistically unusual cells and reports cytotoxic outlier enrichment in COVID-19 BALF, while an integrated multi-omics analysis examines molecular signatures of regular physical activity in peripheral blood. What is new is the combination of scale, immune-specific annotation, and explicit mapping to disease, infection, aging, or exposure.
